Command Sergeant Major (Retired) Howard O. Robinson began his 30-year military career in 1983. In 2011 he became the Illinois National Guard’s 10th State Command Sergeant Major and 3rd Senior Enlisted Adviser. CSM Robinson’s civilian career includes 30 years as a healthcare administrator providing administrative and operational oversight for multiple hospital departments within the Cook County Bureau of Health Services. CSM serves as Senior Advisor to Illinois State Senator Michael E. Hastings. He is also President of the Olympia Fields Library Board and Board Chairmen of Grand Prairie Behavioral Health Services.  CSM Robinson teaches part time as Adjunct Professor at Governors State University. He is married to his wife of 35 years, Deborah Ann Robinson, with three children and seven grandchildren.
