Shelly Sital

Operations Liaison

Shelly Sital is the Operations Liaison for the CAPriCORN Central Team. She has 17 years of experience in the field of health informatics, project management, and patient-centered research. She has been an instrumental part of the CAPriCORN team from the beginning, joining CAPriCORN as the Program Manager in March 2014 and going on to become the first Director of Operations until moving into a new role in 2019. Her work has been centered around health information technology and research with a focus on human-centered design since 2005. She supports the CAPriCORN Central Team with work related to the CAPriCORN Front Door, general operations, and governance.

Shelly currently is the Director of Public Health Initiatives at AllianceChicago, where she manages work related to COVID-19 and other public health initiatives. Additionally, she is a certified yoga teacher for First Ascent Climbing, an Auxiliary Board member of Gardeneers, a Chicago Public School based youth gardening program, and also volunteers with Woke Chicago, a well-being focused non-profit serving under-resourced communities and schools. She also has a Masters of Public Health in Policy and Administration from the University of Illinois – Chicago and a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University.
